About Shelley
More than 10 years ago, Shelley embarked on a personal growth journey to listen to the struggles of others. She invited hundreds of individuals, from all walks of life, to share their stories, and believes that the power of story, and the lessons within, can transform lives. We discover ourselves, and pathways to our own wellbeing, through listening to the experiences and wisdom of others.
Shelley has instructed at the Faculty of Education (OISE/UT), as well as secondary and post-secondary programs covering inclusive leadership, emotional intelligence, healthy lifestyle management, entrepreneurism, and global issues (Centennial College).
Shelley listens and learns alongside you, providing mind-opening insight and encouragement. She brings this commitment to her role as a life coach, speaker, filmmaker, and educator.
Sharing Stories that Inspire
Shelley fell in love with documentary-style programming when she moved from the classroom into the world of educational television at TVOntario.
To date, Shelley has directed and produced innumerable independent documentary-style films, which provide opportunities to spark meaningful dialogue, addressing Canada’s most pressing social issues, on societal and individual levels.
Her passion for leadership and personal development integrates 30+ years of experience in media production (on both sides of the camera), in education, and as an entrepreneur.

Shelley launched the Embrace Your School
(formerly known as Give Your School a Hug) experiential program and workshop series to engage students in finding ways to improve their school community.
