Enter the inner world of children, youth, young adults dealing with exceptionalities or disabilities (e.g. attention deficity/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, blindness, spinal cord or brain injury, epilepsy). Peers, parents, educators, educational assistants, and clinical experts share insights and strategies to reach out and make a difference.

Life of Braxton

Braxton shares his story at age 17 and 21. Braxton lives with a diverse range of exceptionalities and disabilities that include autism, ADHD, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), epilepsy and trichotillomania. He has confronted challenges throughout his school life that included severe bullying, depression and suicidal thoughts. Now enrolled in second year university, Braxton continues to highlight the processes and support that are essential to his mental health and academic success. His mother continues to play a very critical role in fostering collaborative relationships and communication with many clinical and emotional supports.
