Our Embrace Your School
program helps principals, teachers and students who want to improve school climate/culture by reducing isolation and disengagement and increasing inclusion, positive relationships, well-being and productivity.
Increase Awareness of Social Issues with Heartspeak
Focus on a range of topics of your choice that include:
- Mental Health/Healthy Relationships
- Indigenous Issues and Reconciliation
- Gender Issues/Transgender
- Homelessness/Poverty
- Differing Abilities/Disabilities
- Racism
Interacting with Heartspeak stories and digital resources, students, teachers, or parent groups identify strategies and ways to make school life better—[optional: culminating their efforts by inviting members of the school community to literally embrace it—forming a human circle around it]. To date, over 7,500 students in JK to Grade 12 have participated in Canada and South Africa. Use the Heartspeak videos to focus your theme for improvement.
